Viewing Isle of Wight Homes Properties in Google Earth
Isle of Wight Homes has always used maps extensively to show visitors to our site the location and surrounding area of properties for sale. On the website we use Google Maps to show individual properties and on our Explorer Map to show groups of properties and location and information on retail, medical, transport and schools.
We have now added yet another mapping feature that allows you to view recent arrivals, properties for a price range or searches you have made on the property search page within Google Earth.
What is Google Earth?
Google Earth is a desktop software application that combines Google's search functionality with satellite imagery, maps, terrain and 3D buildings. It is more powerful than the web based Google Maps in what it can display on the maps and the ways the maps can be viewed. Google Earth is available for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux, DOWNLOAD IT HERE.
Isle of Wight Homes Properties and Google Earth
At the bottom of the Recent Arrivals, Property Price Band and Property Search pages you will see the following Google Earth Icon
. All you have to do is to click on this logo to launch Google Earth on your computer and view the properties on the page inside Google Earth. Once the link is in Google Earth you can save it to a favorites folder.
The link you have just saved will auto-update every hour, so as new properties are added that match the search criteria from the original page they will be updated in Google Earth.
